I trotted slowly towards the Ceri lake. So far, I had seen nobody in these lands. Nobody at all. Letting out a whinny, I reared up, trying to get a look above the distant treetops. Of course, there was nothing there. I gave a soft sigh and bent my crown, sipping at the cool water lazily.
Won't somebody just come?
I thought as the water washed over my tounge, down my parched throat.

Emerald heard a whinny coming from the the Ceri lake. She hadn't seen many horses in awhile. If she did they just wondered by. She cantered to the lakes. She saw a gorgeous palomino which looked to be a Thoroughbred or a Mustang she wasn't quite sure. She was now near the lake but on the opposite side where the Stallion was. She walked into the lake and began drinking some cool water. The water wasn't very high, didn't cool her off to much. She rolled over in the water cooling off her pelt. "Hi! I'm Emerald, you are?" She asked the stallion nicely walking closer to him.

'Ello, Miss Emerald. I'm Majic Trick.
I said warmly, taking a few steps into the water. I looked down, seeing steam from my hot legs touching the refreshing liquid rise slightly into the air. My eyes wandered over Emerald's bodice for just a moment, taking in her golden coat.

"Nice to meet you Majic Trick! Our herd really isn't a herd anymore. For now it's just us two. When the Ceri and the Ebony herd got into a fight all horses died. I was still a young foal and have been by myself ever since that day."
Emerald told Majic Trick. Again she rolled in the cold water and her pelt dripped with water. She stood up and drank some more water waiting for Majic (if i may call him that) to reply.

Oh.... I just came here from a herd somewhat far away. They kicked me out about a year ago; a lot of colts were being born and the leader didn't want it to get overpopulated by us. But I don't mind, it wasn't exactly the greatest herd ever anyways.
I said, shrugging slightly. My pillars brought me deeper into the shallow lake, orbs watching Emerald roll around. I did the same, pleased to find myself much more cooled off.

"Oh! Well, saying I am the herd leader, or head mare, that won't happen here. We don't kick anyone out. Not my thing." Emerald told Majic. She walked towards him more.

Good. I was wondering if maybe I might be able to join your herd?
I asked politely, watching Emerald step closer towards me. I shook any excess water off my pelt, bending my head to drink again.

"Why yes! Any one is allowed to join and right now we don't really have a population. Just me and you for now!" Emerald said as Majic shook of the excess water which went all over her face. But she didn't care. She drank more water as well.

I smiled warmly to Emerald as her words floated into my audits. It was good to know I had a home again, somewhere that I could always go, where I was always welcomed. And, even more, somewhere I knew I wouldn't ever be kicked out of. Dunking my head under water, I felt the cool blue run over my auds, cooling me off. Pulling my head out, I shook that, too. Shortly after, I realized that Emerald's tiara was wet, from me.
My apologies, Miss.

Emerald shook her head getting the water off. "It's not a problem. It's refreshing." She said. She flicked her tail, the pesky little flies wanted the water. She flicked her wet tail hitting off the fly. It also hit Majic on accident. "Sorry!" she said politely. She thought of something, about the herd. But not just about the herd abut the newly found member Majic. She drank some more cool water and then walked out of the water then on to the field where finally shook off the water. She thought about it again. She continued to watch Majic even as she was grazing.

It's alright, Emerald.
I said, chuckling a bit. They both had something to apologize about, and the other one didn't seem to mind it. This reminded me of a childhood friend from my old herd (he and I were always wrestling around). As she walked up and out of the water, I stayed in, sipping the cool contents of the lake. I was turned so I didn't even see her looking over me, but I probably wouldn't have minded anyways.

Emerald whinnied loudly as she heard a bird chirp above her. She looked up at the bird and stared as if flew away. She began grazing and sipped up some more water.

After a while, I finally stepped out of the lake, taking a long gulp of water before I did so. My auds instinctively pricked up as Emerald whinnied, my orbs darting up to watch the bird she was whinnying to. I wandered back over towards her, stopping not too far away from her, dipping my head to graze.

Emerald looked over at Majic who was now close to her again and grazing. She looked over at him and then back down to her reflection she put her muzzle in the water and sipped up some more water. She put her head to the ground and nibbled on some grass. She looked up at Majic again hopefully without him noticing then looking back at the ground nibbling some grass.

Out of the corner of my eye, I thought I saw Emerald cast a short glance at me. But I quickly decided that that was just my eyes playing tricks on me, or an illusion of somesort. I looked forward into the lake, seein her reflection, though I continued to graze.
